This blog records my two cents in the ever increasing dialogue taking place on the Internet. I have no particular purpose in writing it. I plan to write on whatever topics inspire me as I’m inspired. Most often though, I imagine it will consist of my comments and opinions regarding the news stories of the day.
I’ve heard it said that a free opinion is worth about what you paid for it. Well, that may be true, but rather than belittle the opinions that hopefully will be expressed here, I’ll just mention another variation of an old phrase: let the reader beware. Always think twice before you buy what you read.
I hope that my writings here won’t be a one sided conversation. I will from time to time write about controversial things, and I know that at least half of the folks who might read this will probably disagree with all or most of what I write. Nevertheless, I’d love to hear your opinions too. Even on the most divisive issues, there is always room for disagreement. The capacity to reasonably discuss difficult issues with our ideological opponents is one of the things that sets the West apart from the rest of the world.
